Haven Riviera Cancun

HOLA! We truly had an incredible time! It's hard not to when you are in 80 degree weather, unlimited drinks, and best friends! AM I RIGHT!?

Let me start off by saying i'm not a very good writer, reviewer, and there is going to be some grammatical errors so don't judge me. A LOT of you have said you are planning a vacation this year and wanted to know my thoughts on the resort.

When we were there I had a lot more complaints than good things to say, but as we got home and we were looking up other resorts for my husbands 40th birthday next year I realized how nice our resort actually was.

I've seen prettier beaches and the water wasn't the bluest, but the sand sure felt nice on my feet! The sand was kind of dirty and the ocean had a lot of sea grass. AGAIN though I was on vacation and you could walk the beach so this isn't a complaint just more general notes if you are wanting a beautiful white said blue ocean view.

The staff was very friendly and we loved our bartenders so much! The only thing that was tough was the language barrier. At past resorts I felt they were more fluent and this one they were not so sometimes it was hard to order things because they didn't know what we were saying. BUT we are in another country so! The staff really was great we loved JC, Manuel, Rafauel, and Huego the best!

The restaurant food was just OK. Our favorite was the Asian Restaurant but after having it 3 days in a row because we didn't care for the other food it got old. I honestly preferred the room service food over anything. I wasn't that impressed with the buffets or the Mexican restaurant. We couldn't get in to the FANCY steak house because long story short we weren't serenity club members even though you don't have to be to go there. ** I don't think upgrading to Serenity club is worth it either, however they were treated better from what I can see.

It was also kind of the most not-inclusive all-exclusive resorts I've ever been to. If you wanted a nice steak you had to pay for it, if you wanted top shelf you had to pay for it, if you want a bottle of wine you had to pay for it. The last resort we went to we didn't have to pay a DIME for anything.

Again everything above is just notes for people that are looking to go here. Some of these things I personally would have loved to know before going. My biggest complaint was there was no music. At night over the speakers they would play music, but that's it. They had a DJ on Wednesday and Saturday but the other days it was quiet. If you want to just relax on the trip this is definitely the place for you! If we ever came back here I would definitely bring my own Bluetooth speaker - if we just had that I would rate this a 4.5/5 - i'm rating it in total 3.5/4-5

This vacation was everything I didn't know I needed. I needed time with my Husband away from the daily stressors. I needed time with my best friends. AND I needed time by myself. This resort was beautiful and with a few changes I think it would be a great place! One of our favorite guys, JC, said it's under new management and that in 6 months it will be so much better!
